A Theory of Multiaperture Along-Track Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2019
In this letter, a novel theory is proposed to measure the velocity vector of moving targets such as ocean currents by multiaperture along-track interferometric synthetic aperture radar (MA-ATI SAR), utilizing the conventional dual-antenna ATI SAR data.

An Adaptive Contoured Window Filter for Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2007
An adaptive contoured window filter is proposed to filter off the noise from phase images of interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) in this letter. The contoured windows can best satisfy the requirement that constrains the phase signal constant inside windows on which low-pass filtering can remove the noise well while the fringe phases are ...

Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Microscopy: Microscopic Laser Radar

Optics and Photonics News, 2010
Using instruments from optical coherence tomography and the principles of synthetic aperture radar, researchers have developed a new method for reconstructing 3-D optical images. Doctors may soon be able to use this approach as a noninvasive diagnostic tool in clinical settings.

Interferometric synthetic aperture processing: a comparison of sonar and radar

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2008
Interferometric aperture synthesis is an inverse problem that attempts to form an elevation map of the earth (in the case of radar) or a bathymetric map of the seafloor (in the case of sonar). In both cases, a pair of (nominally) vertically displaced transducers is configured as an interferometer. After aperture synthesis is performed to produce a pair

Studies of multibaseline spaceborne interferometric synthetic aperture radars

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 1990
The authors have utilized a set of Seasat synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data that were obtained in nearly repeat ground-track orbits to demonstrate the performance of spaceborne interferometric SAR (INSAR) systems. An assessment of the topography measurement capability is presented.

Developments of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar About Monitoring Deformation

2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology, 2009
Now, application of InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) to deformation monitoring has become a hotspot for monitoring deformation. The basic principles and data processing procedures of InSAR are introduced in this paper, at the same time, main progresses made in InSAR technology and its application to deformation monitoring are summarized.

Ground-Based Bistatic Polarimetric Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar System

IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019
A novel ground-based bistatic polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system using an Optical Electric Field Sensor (OEFS) as the receiver was developed for environmental studies. Fundamental experiments were carried out with a trihedral corner reflector (CR) as a target, showing the polarimetric capability of the system.

Directionally Adaptive Filter for Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometric Phase Images

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2013
The obvious directionality inherent in interferometric synthetic aperture radar interferograms allows noise to be filtered very effectively along the fringe direction, leaving the fringe phase undamaged. This paper proposes a highly reliable method for the simultaneous estimation of the direction and density of interferograms, on the basis of which a ...

A Review on Latest Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar Researches

2009 WRI World Congress on Software Engineering, 2009
In recent years, applications of InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture, Radar) to deformation monitoring has become a hotspot in research of geological hazards. This paper introduces the basic principles and data processing procedures of InSAR and summarizes main progresses made in InSAR technology and its application to deformation monitoring ...

Motion compensation for airborne interferometric synthetic aperture radar

2009
Airborne SAR interferometry has the potential to provide topographic data with a precision of the order of one meter. However, to generate data accurate to this level it is essential to measure and compensate for the antenna baseline motion. Conventional motion compensation techniques and their errors are analyzed and extended to the two channel ...
