This paper takes a retrospective look at the changes in the extent of the Congo forest and great ape habitat in the past 20 years. The data and method used in this study are novel. This produced the very first Central Africa ‐specific oil palm extent and forest change dynamics, highlighting a great ape habitat and species range decline.

This paper introduces a new and novel radar interferometry based on Doppler synthetic aperture radar (Doppler-SAR) paradigm. Conventional SAR interferometry relies on wideband transmitted waveforms to obtain high range resolution. Topography of a surface is directly related to the range difference between two antennas configured at different positions.

Interferometric synthetic aperture radar atmospheric correction: Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer and Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar integration [PDF]
Atmospheric water vapor effects represent one of the major limitations of repeat‐pass InSAR, and limit the accuracy of deformation rates derived from InSAR. The use of contemporaneous MERIS data to correct ENVISAT ASAR measurements shows a significant reduction in water vapor effects.

Progressive InSAR phase estimation [PDF]
This paper introduces a novel scheme to progressively estimate interferometric phases from a stack of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. The scheme is shown to yield comparable performance to full-covariance algorithms for a realistic decorrelation scenario.

However, land in the Central Valley is sinking at a rapid rate (as much as 20 cm per year) due to continued groundwater pumping. Land subsidence has a significant impact on infrastructure resilience and groundwater sustainability.
