Measuring Interfacial Polymerization Kinetics Using Microfluidic Interferometry.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2018
A range of academic and industrial fields exploit interfacial polymerization in producing fibers, capsules, and films. Although widely used, measurements of reaction kinetics remain challenging and rarely reported, due to film thinness and reaction ...

Particle Size Matters – Impact of Particle Size and Crucible Geometry on Sublimation Behavior of Formamidinium Iodide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
FAI precursor particle size and sublimation crucible geometry critically determine vapor flux directionality and deposition uniformity in thermal sublimation processes. Conical crucibles exhibit particle‐size‐dependent beam focusing, while cylindrical crucibles show a much more homogeneous deposition due to de‐focusing effects of the emitted vapor flux.

Interferometry of ionospheric E-region irregularities based on Kunming VHF radars

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
There is a long history of using VHF radar systems to detect ionospheric irregularities based on the theory of coherent scattering. According to previous work, there is a high occurrence of field-aligned irregularities (FAIs) in the ionospheric E-region ...

The Use of C-/X-Band Time-Gapped SAR Data and Geotechnical Models for the Study of Shanghai’s Ocean-Reclaimed Lands through the SBAS-DInSAR Technique

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2016
In this work, we investigate the temporal evolution of ground deformation affecting the ocean-reclaimed lands of the Shanghai (China) megacity, from 2007 to 2016, by applying the Differential Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (DInSAR) technique ...

Portable fiber optic coupled Doppler interferometer system for detonation and shock wave diagnostics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Testing and analysis of shock wave characteristics such as detonators and ground shock propagation frequently require a method of measuring velocity and displacement of the surface of interest. One method of measurement is Doppler interferometry.

Probing the close environment of young stellar objects with interferometry

open access: yes, 2003
The study of Young Stellar Objects (YSOs) is one of the most exciting topics that can be undertaken by long baseline optical interferometry. The magnitudes of these objects are at the edge of capabilities of current optical interferometers, limiting the ...

Group Delay Dispersion Measurements on Mid‐Infrared Supermirrors

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Group delay dispersion of novel semiconductor‐based optics is measured in the mid‐infrared spectral range (2.5 to 4.8 μm$\rm \umu{\rm m}$). Comparisons are made between simulations, measurements conducted with a home‐built white light interferometer, and measurements performed with a commercially available FTIR.
