Clarification on Generalized Lau condition for X-ray interferometers based on dual phase gratings [PDF]
To implement dual phase grating x-ray interferometry with x-ray tubes, one needs to incorporate an absorbing source grating. In order to attain good fringe visibility, the period of a source grating should be subject to a stringent condition. In literature some authors claim that the Lau-condition in Talbot-Lau interferometry can be literally ...

Introduction to Interferometry [PDF]
This tutorial gives a general introduction to optical and infrared interferometry, specifically addressing two questions: `Can I use VLTI to observe my favourite object?' and `What will it tell me?' The observables measured by an interferometer are fringe visibility and closure phase, which can then be fitted by a model or used to reconstruct an image.

Bandwidth in bolometric interferometry [PDF]
Bolometric Interferometry is a technology currently under development that will be first dedicated to the detection of B-mode polarization fluctuations in the Cosmic Microwave Background. A bolometric interferometer will have to take advantage of the wide spectral detection band of its bolometers in order to be competitive with imaging experiments.

Film‐Based Multi‐Photon Lithography for Efficient Printing of Electromagnetic Surface Structures
This work introduces film‐based multi‐photon lithography as an efficient method for fabricating electromagnetic surface structures with 2D and 2.5D geometries, particularly THz and mid‐IR metasurfaces. These structures can be fabricated on various substrates, such as glass or silicon‐on‐insulator, over areas ranging from mm2 to cm2, achieving feature ...

Femtosecond Pulse Shaping with Semiconductor Huygens' Metasurfaces
Spatially variant silicon Huygens' metasurfaces enable femtosecond pulse shaping by tailoring the spectral phase and amplitude of incident pulses. Two key functionalities are demonstrated: temporal stretching and pulse splitting of an input Gaussian pulse.

Interferometry from Space: A Great Dream [PDF]
During some thirty years, 1980-2010, technical studies of optical interferometry from instruments in space were pursued as promising for higher spatial resolution and for higher astrometric accuracy. Nulling interferometry was studied for both high spatial resolution and high contrast.
