High‐speed quantitative X‐ray multi‐contrast imaging with deep learning based modulated pattern analysis

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 467-480, March 2026.
This work presents a neural‐network framework that accelerates X‐ray multi‐contrast imaging—simultaneously delivering absorption, phase, and dark‐field, while maintaining high spatial resolution, and outperforms correlation‐based methods in speed, achieving a favorable balance between resolution and throughput.

Comparing image quality of synchrotron and laboratory nano‐CT scans: a round robin study

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 489-507, March 2026.
A multi‐facility round‐robin comparison of synchrotron‐ and laboratory‐based nano‐computed tomography using a standardized 3D phantom reveals superior resolution and acquisition speed at synchrotrons, while advanced laboratory systems achieve competitive image quality with extended scan times; phase contrast modalities further enhance structural ...

Secretion of Peanut Protein With IgE Crosslinking Capacity in Human Milk

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 3, Page 861-873, March 2026.
Food proteins from peanut, egg, and cow's milk were detected in human milk with variable kinetics. Ara h 2 in human milk was capable of IgE‐crosslinking, as demonstrated with the basophil activation test. Higher levels of peanut protein, Ara h 2, were found in atopic mothers compared to non‐atopic mothers.

The fc fragment of IgMs binds C1q to activate the first step of the classical complement pathway, while inhibiting complement‐dependent cytotoxicity

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 5, Page 1358-1375, March 2026.
Multimeric IgM‐fragment crystallizable region (Fc) fragments retain the ability to bind C1q and initiate the classical complement pathway, leading to C4 activation and deposition in vitro. However, the Fc cores can also inhibit complement‐dependent cytotoxicity by competing with surface‐bound antibodies for C1q engagement.

A Monoclonal Antibody ELISA–Based Assay for Measuring the Potency of Candidate H5 Clade 2.3.4.4b Pandemic Influenza Vaccines

open access: yesInfluenza and Other Respiratory Viruses, Volume 20, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The single radial immunodiffusion (SRID) assay is used to determine the potency of inactivated influenza vaccines. Nevertheless, development of alternative influenza vaccine potency assays with greater sensitivity and less reliance on large quantities of reference reagents is needed.
