Robust Adaptive Model Predictive Control for Tracking in Interconnected Systems via Distributed Optimization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study presents a novel Distributed Robust Adaptive Model Predictive Control (DRAMPC) for tracking in multi‐agent systems. The framework is designed to work with dynamically coupled subsystems and limited communication, which is restricted to local neighborhoods.

Solving SDP's in Non-commutative Algebras Part I: The Dual-Scaling Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes
Semidefinite programming (SDP) may be viewed as an extension of linear programming (LP), and most interior point methods (IPM s) for LP can be extended to solve SDP problems. However, it is far more difficult to exploit data structures (especially ...

Output Feedback Design for Parameter Varying Systems Subject to Persistent Disturbances and Control Rate Constraints

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper develops a framework for designing output feedback controllers for constrained linear parameter‐varying systems that experience persistent disturbances. We specifically propose an incremental parameter‐varying output feedback control law to address control rate constraints, as well as state and control amplitude constraints.

The role of identification in data‐driven policy iteration: A system theoretic study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
Abstract The goal of this article is to study fundamental mechanisms behind so‐called indirect and direct data‐driven control for unknown systems. Specifically, we consider policy iteration applied to the linear quadratic regulator problem. Two iterative procedures, where data collected from the system are repeatedly used to compute new estimates of ...

Holography and localization of information in quantum gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Within the AdS/CFT correspondence, we identify a class of CFT operators which represent diff-invariant and approximately local observables in the gravitational dual.

CONCERT: A Modular Reconfigurable Robot for Construction

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents CONCERT, a fully reconfigurable modular collaborative robot (cobot) for multiple on‐site operations in a construction site. CONCERT has been designed to support human activities in construction sites by leveraging two main characteristics: high‐power density motors and modularity. In this way, the robot is able to perform a

A T-Algebraic Approach to Primal-Dual Interior-Point Algorithms [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Optimization, 2009
Three primal-dual interior-point algorithms for homogeneous cone programming are presented. They are a short-step algorithm, a large-update algorithm, and a predictor-corrector algorithm. These algorithms are described and analyzed based on a characterization of homogeneous cones via $T$-algebras.

One‐Sidedness and the Inferior Function in Coriolanus and Timon of Athens

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract For both Jung and Shakespeare, one‐sidedness is the fundamental tragic trait. Jung proposed that as an individual develops, they inevitably associate their identity with certain modes of perception and interaction, and that this leads to psychological polarization.

Interior estimates in the sup-norm for a class of generalized functions with integral representations

open access: yesBulletin of Computational Applied Mathematics, 2019
In this paper we construct apriori estimates for the first order derivatives in the sup-norm for first order meta-monogenic functions, generalized monogenic functions satisfying a differential equation with an anti-monogenic right hand side and ...
