Stable Price Dispersion under Heterogeneous Buyer Consideration
ABSTRACT We study the pricing of homogeneous products sold to customers who consider different sets of suppliers. We identify prices that are stable in the sense that no firm wishes to undercut a rival or to raise its price when rivals are able to respond by offering special deals.

Optimal Job Design and Information Elicitation
ABSTRACT When managers rely on their subordinates for local information but cannot commit to how such information is used, the incentives for effort and information elicitation become intertwined. This incentive problem influences the firm's job design decision, that is, whether to assign all tasks in a job to one worker (“individual assignment”) or ...

Motivation. Analytic function theory on commutative complex extensions calls for an operator–theoretic calculus that simultaneously sees the algebra-induced coupling among components and supports boundary-to-interior mechanisms. Gap.

Computing Skinning Weights via Convex Duality
We present an alternate optimization method to compute bounded biharmonic skinning weights. Our method relies on a dual formulation, which can be optimized with a nonnegative linear least squares setup. Abstract We study the problem of optimising for skinning weights through the lens of convex duality.

Building a Potemkin village in occupied China: Japan's wartime system of linked trade, 1939–43
Abstract The paper discusses the novel but little‐known exchange rate system of Japanese‐occupied North China during the Second Sino‐Japanese War, in which exporters were given the right to import in the form of a piece of yellow paper, which could be sold in the secondary market.

On the 'good' Lie brackets related to a polynomial system
Small-time local controllability (STLC) at a point $ x_0 $ is a fundamental property of control systems, and is intimately connected to the local structure of their reachable sets.

The Legacy of Policy Inaction in Climate‐Growth Models
ABSTRACT To better understand the structure and core mechanisms of a broad class of climate‐growth models, we study a simplified version of the dynamic integrated model of climate and the economy (DICE) through the lens of growth theory. We analytically show that this model features a continuum of saddle‐point stable steady states.

On Spatial Point Processes With Composition‐Valued Marks
Summary Methods for marked spatial point processes with scalar marks have seen extensive development in recent years. While the impressive progress in data collection and storage capacities has yielded an immense increase in spatial point process data with highly challenging non‐scalar marks, methods for their analysis are not equally well developed ...

Product Positioning and Incentives to Innovate
ABSTRACT This paper shows that product positioning affects the incentives to invest in process innovation. The result is found using a model of price competition with three firms under horizontal product differentiation—and then extended to a more general Bertrand triopoly.

On the interior structure of exterior algebra
It is constructed the functor from category of product linear space to category of skew-symmetric tensor space. It is defined and described the bound bundle as analog of a symplex and as basis element of new constructive homology theory.
