Hierarchical control for the semilinear parabolic equations with interior degeneracy
This paper concerns with the hierarchical control of the semilinear parabolic equations with interior degeneracy. By a Stackelberg-Nash strategy, we consider the linear and semilinear system with one leader and two followers. First, for any given leader, we analyze a Nash equilibrium corresponding to a bi-objective optimal control problem.

Generators with interior degeneracy on spaces of L^2 type
We consider operators in divergence and in nondivergence form with degeneracy at the interior of the space domain. Characterizing the domain of the operators, we prove that they generate positive analytic semigroups on spaces of L^2 type.

Lipschitz stability for linear parabolic systems with interior degeneracy
In this article, we study an inverse problem for linear degenerate parabolic systems with one force. We establish Lipschitz stability for the source term from measurements of one component of the solution at a positive time and on a subset of the ...

Null controllability for linear parabolic cascade systems with interior degeneracy
We study the null controllability problem for linear degenerate parabolic systems with one control force through Carleman estimates for the associated adjoint problem.

Can a Finite Degenerate ‘String’ Hear Itself The Exact Solution to a Simplified IBVP
The separation of variables based solution to a simplified (compared to that published earlier in JODEA, 28 (1) (2020), 1 – 42) initial boundary value problem for a 1D linear degenerate wave equation, posed in a space-time rectangle, has been presented ...

Theoretical and numerical analysis of a degenerate nonlinear cubic Schrödinger equation
In this paper, we are interested in some theoretical and numerical studies of a special case of a degenerate nonlinear Schrödinger equation namely the so-called Gross-Pitaevskii Equation(GPE).
