Gas phase bond dissociation enthalpies and enthalpies of isomerization/reaction for small hydrocarbon combustion related compounds between 300 and 1500 K: A comparison of Gaussian-4 (G4) theoretical values against experimental data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Gas phase calculations at 1 atmosphere pressure between 300 and 1500 K at 200 K intervals were conducted using the Gaussian-4 (G4) composite method level of theory on a representative set of reactions having broad relevance in hydrocarbon combustion ...

Picture anti-fuzzy interior ideals of semi-groups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Fuzzy Extension and Applications
Notions of Picture fuzzy sets (PFSs) offers significant benefits when it comes to handling vagueness and complexity. Moreover, fuzzy data play a crucial role in capturing uncertain nature of subjective decisions, allowing for adaptable evaluation of ...

Fuzzy Bi-Interior Ideals of Semigroups

open access: yesAsia Pacific Journal of Mathematics, 2018
Summary: In this paper, we introduce the notion of a fuzzy bi-interior ideal of semigroup and we characterize the regular semigroup in terms of a fuzzy bi-interior ideal of a semigroup.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The Ideal and the Real: interior linings in 1930s New Zealand homes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The choices made by New Zealanders in terms of how they line the floors, walls and ceilings of their homes, both today and in the past, is driven by various influencing factors.

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

Liberalism, nationalism and the evolution of middle-class values : the literature on interior decoration in England, 1875-1914. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
PhDIn the 1870s and 80s, the interior decoration of the middle-class home was the focus of a great deal of attention, as reflected in a dramatic increase in the literature on this subject in the form of handbooks 'for those about to furnish', articles

A yeast model of 5‐oxoproline accumulation reveals a general toleration to 5‐oxoproline

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a yeast model, we show that even high accumulation of 5‐oxoproline causes only mild cellular stress and does not trigger oxidative stress. Instead, cells adapt by activating efflux pumps and diverse protective pathways, suggesting that previously proposed harmful effects of 5‐oxoproline may arise from indirect metabolic imbalances rather than the
