A classification of minimal cones in ?n ?+ and a counterexample to interior regularity of energy minimizing functions

Manuscripta Mathematica, 1989
Recent results of the author concerning the minimizing properties of the cones\(C_n^\alpha = \left\{ {0 \leqslant x_{n + 1} \leqslant \sqrt {\frac{\alpha }{{n - 1}}[x_1^2 + ... + x_n^2 ]^{\frac{1}{2}} } } \right\}\) will be improved considerably. It is shown that the new results are optimal. Moreover the existence of “singular” minimizers of class C0,1/

A Corrector-Predictor Interior-Point Algorithm for P(κ)-HLCPs Over Cartesian Product of Symmetric Cones

Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization, 2016
ABSTRACTIn this article, we present a corrector-predictor path-following interior-point algorithm for P∗(κ)-horizontal linear complementarity problem over Cartesian product of symmetric cones, using Euclidean Jordan algebras. This comprehensive problem is a newly introduced problem in the context of interior-point methods.

Foreign bodies in the interior of the maxillary sinus: diagnosis by cone beam computed tomography.

General dentistry, 2018
To avoid complications, the intimate relation between the maxillary sinus and dental roots deserves attention during surgical procedures. Accidental introduction of foreign bodies, such as dental implants, may irritate the maxillary sinus mucosa, causing sinusitis.

A method of constructing phyllotaxically arranged modular models by partitioning the interior of a cylinder or a cone

Machine Graphics and Vision, 2014
Illumination correction is a method used for removing the influence of light coming from the environment and of other distorting factors in the image capturing process. An algorithm based on the luminance mapping is proposed that can be used to remove low frequency variations in the intensity, and to increase the contrast in low contrast areas when ...

Compressed-sensing-based low-dose interior image reconstruction algorithm for small field-of-view cone-beam CT

2015
Aims and objectives: Radiation dose reduction becomes an important issue in recent X-ray CT imaging. One of representative strategies is to reduce the required number of projection views during the scan.
