Generalized open sets of Minkowski space [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Moravica, 2015
We consider the Euclidean topology and s-topology on n-dimensional Minkowski space and investigate the interior and closure of the space cone and perforated space cone with respect to these topologies.

Unambiguous observation of vesicle fusion in the interior of a cone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
AbstractWhen a vesicle was put onto the inner surface of a cone, it would spontaneously move to the bottom of the cone. The mechanism was explained elsewhere. In this work, we showed that when we put two vesicles onto the inner surface of a cone, both of them would spontaneously climb to the bottom of the cone.

Existence of Positive Solutions to Boundary Value Problem of Caputo Fractional Differential Equation

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2015
We consider the existence of positive solutions to the nonlinear fractional differential equation boundary value problem D0+αCut+fut,u't=0,  t∈0,1,  u0=u1=u″0=0, where f:0,+∞×R→0,+∞ is continuous, α∈2,3, and D0+αC is the standard Caputo differentiation ...

GPU-Based Acceleration for Interior Tomography

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2014
The compressive sensing (CS) theory shows that real signals can be exactly recovered from very few samplings. Inspired by the CS theory, the interior problem in computed tomography is proved uniquely solvable by minimizing the region-of-interest's total ...

A predictor-corrector path-following algorithm for symmetric optimization based on Darvay's technique [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research, 2014
In this paper, we present a predictor-corrector path-following interior-point algorithm for symmetric cone optimization based on Darvay's technique.

Inspiring Responsive Interior Architecture from the Inherent Hygroscopic Behavior of Pine Cones

open access: yesJournal of Biosciences and Medicines, 2019
Architectural Engineering has experienced a new trend that incorporates Synthetic Biology Concepts and expressions. This trend is not only limited to borrowed terminology, but also extends to embrace new types of construction processes derived from living organisms’ actuating properties.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

EXISTENCE AND COMPACTNESS THEORY FOR ALE SCALAR-FLAT KÄHLER SURFACES

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2020
Our main result in this article is a compactness result which states that a noncollapsed sequence of asymptotically locally Euclidean (ALE) scalar-flat Kähler metrics on a minimal Kähler surface whose Kähler classes stay in a compact subset of the ...
