THE ANTHROPOLOGICAL DIMENSION OF ARCHITECTURE IN THE PHENOMENOLOGY OF CHRISTIAN NORBERG-SCHULZ: THEORETICAL PROBLEMS OF (ANTHROPO) CENTER IN ARCHITECTURE THROUGH THE PERCEPTION OF THE INTERIOR SPACE

open access: yesFacta Universitatis. Series: Architecture and Civil Engineering, 2023
The subject of this paper are postulates of Christian Norberg-Schulz within the theory of architecture of the second half of the 20th century which can be connected with the interpretation of a man and the interior space as primary determinants of ...

The tadpole conjecture in the interior of moduli space

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Abstract We revisit moduli stabilization on Calabi-Yau manifolds with a discrete symmetry. Invariant fluxes allow for a truncation to a symmetric locus in complex structure moduli space and hence drastically reduce the moduli stabilization problem in its dimensionality.

Segregated oceanic crust trapped at the bottom mantle transition zone revealed from ambient noise interferometry

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
By combining ambient noise interferometry with mineral physics modeling, this work sheds new light on mantle transition zone physics. Their findings provide new evidence of segregated oceanic crust subducted and trapped within the mantle transition zone,

Elasticity of Anhydrous Phase B Under Mantle Conditions: Implications for the Deep X‐Discontinuity in the Subduction Zones

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2023
Anhydrous phase B (anh‐B) is a dense magnesium silicate with the composition Mg14Si5O24 and space group Pmcb. In magnesium‐rich environments, forsterite reacts with periclase to form anh‐B, and the formation of anh‐B was proposed as a plausible mechanism

Slab control on the mega-sized North Pacific ultra-low velocity zone

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Ultra-low velocity zones (ULVZs) are localized small-scale patches with extreme physical properties at the core-mantle boundary. Here, the authors discover a mega-sized ULVZ (1,500 × 900 km) at the northern edge of the Pacific Large Low Velocity Province.
