The tadpole conjecture in the interior of moduli space

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Abstract We revisit moduli stabilization on Calabi-Yau manifolds with a discrete symmetry. Invariant fluxes allow for a truncation to a symmetric locus in complex structure moduli space and hence drastically reduce the moduli stabilization problem in its dimensionality.

The Effect of Muqarnas on Acoustic Quality of Traditional Turkish Bath Interior Space

open access: yesACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage, 2023
Decorative “muqarnas” add charm to the design element and may influence the characteristics of an interior space. This study hypothesises that muqarnas in traditional Turkish baths (hammams) affect acoustic performances of such interior spaces.

Segregated oceanic crust trapped at the bottom mantle transition zone revealed from ambient noise interferometry

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
By combining ambient noise interferometry with mineral physics modeling, this work sheds new light on mantle transition zone physics. Their findings provide new evidence of segregated oceanic crust subducted and trapped within the mantle transition zone,

The Visual and Thermal Impact of Skylight Design on the Interior Space of an Educational Building in a Hot Climate

open access: yes, 2021
Skylights have been among the important devices in architecture for providing sufficient daylight in an interior space. The design of a skylight, in terms of shape, orientation, and glazing specification, has a great visual and thermal impact on any ...

Strategy to Reduce the Covid-19 Transmission through Adaptation of Greenship Interior Space (IS) Criteria

open access: yes, 2021
Greenship Interior Space (IS) is a set of criteria established by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) as a rating tool for assessing the interior space of a building. It is mainly used as a guideline that needs to be applied to buildings in order
