Collective interlacing and ranges of the positive zeros of Bessel functions

, 2021
As a generalization of the classical interlacing property for pairs of Bessel functions, it is shown that the positive zeros of ν-parameter families of Bessel functions J ν or Y ν are simultaneously interlaced under certain conditions.

Monitoring of atmospheric corrosion and dewing process by interlacing copper electrode sensor

Corrosion Science, 2019
A novel dewing sensor consisting of two interlacing (comb-like) copper electrodes was fabricated by photolithography to monitor the formation and evaporation process of thin electrolyte layer (TEL), as well as atmospheric corrosion of copper during ...

A Multiqueue Interlacing Peak Scheduling Method Based on Tasks’ Classification in Cloud Computing

IEEE Systems Journal, 2018
In cloud computing, resources are dynamic, and the demands placed on the resources allocated to a particular task are diverse. These factors could lead to load imbalances, which affect scheduling efficiency and resource utilization.

Ultraconfined Interlaced Plasmons

Physical Review Letters, 2011
We describe a mesoscopic excitation in strongly coupled grids of metallic nanorods, resulting from the hybridization of weakly bounded plasmons. It is shown both theoretically and experimentally that the characteristic spatial scale of the interlaced plasmons is determined by geometrical features, rather than from the electrical length of the nanorods,

Spatio-temporal object detection by deep learning: Video-interlacing to improve multi-object tracking

Image and Vision Computing, 2019
Tracking-by-detection have become a hot topic of great interest to some computer vision applications in the recent years. Generally, the existing tracking-by-detection frameworks have difficulties with congestion, occlusion, and inaccurate detection in ...

Interlacing families III: Sharper restricted invertibility estimates

Israel Journal of Mathematics, 2017
We use the method of interlacing families of polynomials to derive a simple proof of Bourgain and Tzafriri’s Restricted Invertibility Principle, and then to sharpen the result in two ways.
