Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Interlacing weave factor of two-dimensional jacquard woven fabrics
This study explores and discusses the structure of two-dimensional (2D) jacquard woven fabric and its weave pattern. The aim of the study is to propose a methodology focused on the definition of threads interlacing in the 2D jacquard woven fabric and ...

Graphs and Hermitian matrices: exact interlacing [PDF]
We prove conditions for equality between the extreme eigenvalues of a matrix and its quotient. In particular, we give a lower bound on the largest singular value of a matrix and generalize a result of Finck and Grohmann about the largest eigenvalue of a ...

Interlacing Families IV: Bipartite Ramanujan Graphs of All Sizes
We prove that there exist bipartite Ramanujan graphs of every degree and every number of vertices. The proof is based on analyzing the expected characteristic polynomial of a union of random perfect matchings, and involves three ingredients: (1) a ...

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

On the interlacing property and the Routh-Hurwitz criterion
Unlike the Nyquist criterion, root locus, and many other stability criteria, the well-known Routh-Hurwitz criterion is usually introduced as a mechanical algorithm and no attempt is made whatsoever to explain why or how such an algorithm works.

Non-interlacing peakon solutions of the Geng-Xue equation
The aim of the present paper is to derive explicit formulas for arbitrary peakon solutions of the Geng-Xue equation, a two-component generalization of Novikov's cubically nonlinear Camassa-Holm type equation.

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...
