A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

Weak interlayers in flexible and semi-flexible road pavements: Part 1
Weak layers, interlayers, laminations and/or interfaces in the upper structural layers of road pavements are specifically prohibited in most road-building specifications.

Low‐frequency noise spectroscopy defines the resolvable conductance states of synaptic FeFETs by coupling read‐current fluctuation with usable dynamic range. The resulting noise‐limited bit precision establishes a universal, device‐agnostic reliability metric beyond the memory window, enabling quantitative benchmarking and rational design of high ...

Effects of ZnO interlayers on thick GaN/Si film prepared by RF magnetron sputtering
We have successfully prepared a high-quality 2 mu m-thick GaN film with three inserted 30 nm-thick ZnO interlayers on Si (111) substrate without cracks by magnetron sputtering.

Interlayers for diamond deposition on tool materials
S.299-303The direct deposition of diamond on such tool materials as hard metals and steels is difficult because graphitizattion occurs and adhesion is poor.

Disentangling Bulk and Surface Contributions to Charge and Discharge Fading in High‐Voltage LiCoO2
High‐voltage operation of LiCoO2 accelerates capacity fading through bulk and surface degradation. By introducing a LiTaO3 coating to selectively suppress surface degradation, bulk and surface contributions to charge and discharge fading are decoupled.

Effects of AlGaN/AlN Stacked Interlayers on GaN Growth on Si (111)
We report the growth of high quality and crack-free GaN film on Si (111) substrate using Al0.2Ga0.8N/AlN stacked interlayers. Compared with the previously used single AlN interlayer, the AlGaN/AlN stacked interlayers can more effectively reduce the ...

Mechanistic modelling of weak interlayers in flexible and semi-flexible road pavements: Part 2
This paper (Part 2 of a two-part set of papers) discusses models and illustrates the adverse effects of weak layers, interlayers, laminations and/or weak interfaces in flexible and semi-flexible pavements, also incorporating lightly cemented layers.
