HF-CVD of diamond coatings onto fluidized bed (FB) treated CrN interlayers
In the present investigation, Fluidized Bed (FB) treatment is applied to pre-treat CrN interlayers onto WC-Co substrates to promote the growth on them of highly adherent diamond coatings.

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.

Suppression of the increase of high-temperature coercivity in MnBi thin films by Al interlayers
By tailoring the microcrystalline structure of MnBi films, using Al interlayers, a reduction of the high-temperature coercivity by a factor of 3 is achieved.

A gradient‐engineered all‐paper sensor is fabricated by integrating MXene and in situ grown AgNPs within hierarchical cellulose networks. The device breaks the sensitivity–detection range trade‐off through cascaded conductive pathways, enabling ultrahigh pressure sensitivity, humidity–pressure decoupled dual‐mode sensing, and outstanding EMI shielding,

Bone‐Inspired Recyclable Composites for Damage‐Tolerant Circular Materials
Bone‐inspired architected composites are developed by combining osteon‐like reinforcements with a recyclable Elium thermoplastic matrix. The hierarchical architecture redirects cracks and promotes energy dissipation, while enabling recovery of intact, aligned, load‐bearing reinforcement units that retain their original stiffness, revealing a route ...

Effects of ZnO interlayers on thick GaN/Si film prepared by RF magnetron sputtering
We have successfully prepared a high-quality 2 mu m-thick GaN film with three inserted 30 nm-thick ZnO interlayers on Si (111) substrate without cracks by magnetron sputtering.

Effect of Ta Interlayers on Texture and Magnetic Properties of FeSi Films with Micrometer Thickness
Magnetized soft ferromagnetic films with micrometer thickness were studied. A FeSi film, with a total thickness of 2000 nm, separated by 10 nm-thick Ta interlayers, was fabricated using the direct-current magnetron sputtering technique.
