Origin of passivation in hole-selective transition metal oxides for crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells [PDF]
Transition metal oxides (TMOs) have recently demonstrated to be a good alternative to boron/phosphorous doped layers in crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells.

Toward defect-free semi-polar GaN templates on pre-structured sapphire [PDF]
The microstructure of semi-polar (11–22) GaN templates grown on pre-structured r-plane sapphire by MOVPE has been characterized by TEM. Cross-sectional observations indicate that defects are generated in three regions of the layers: threading ...

Performance of TenCate Paving Interlayers in Asphalt Concrete Pavements [PDF]
As a continued effort of a previously completed project entitled “Performance of TenCate Mirafi PGM-G4 Interlayer-Reinforced Asphalt Pavements in Alaska,” this project evaluated two newly modified paving interlayers (TruPave and Mirapave) through overlay,

Design and fabrication of robust broadband extreme ultraviolet multilayers
The random layer thickness variations can induce a great deformation of the experimental reflection of broadband extreme ultraviolet multilayer. In order to reduce this influence of random layer thickness fluctuations, the multiobjective genetic ...

Josephson effect in double-barrier superconductor-ferromagnet junctions [PDF]
We study the Josephson effect in ballistic double-barrier SIFIS planar junctions, consisting of bulk superconductors (S), a clean metallic ferromagnet (F), and insulating interfaces (I).

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Performance of Tencate Mirafi PGM-G4 Interlayer-Reinforced Asphalt Pavements in Alaska [PDF]
Geosynthetics has been used in hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlays in a variety of design and construction situations for more than three decades. A number of positive benefits have been identified such as waterproofing control for base and subgrade ...
