Side‐Chain‐Induced Interlayer Slipping in Metalloporphyrin COFs Enables Microenvironment and Spin‐State Regulation for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Alkoxy chain length drives a continuous transition from eclipsed AA to a serrated, slipped AA* configuration over Co‐porphyrin COFs. A moderate slip both contracts the pore channel to enrich CO2 and suppress hydrogen evolution, and enhances collective high‐spin of Co sites, which delivers a record CO production rate with high selectivity.

Polar Wurtzite NbAlN: A Transition‐Metal Nitride Alloy for Polarization‐Engineered GaN Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel polar wurtzite alloy, NbAlN, is demonstrated as a transition‐metal‐containing polar barrier for GaN heterostructures. Nb atoms form coherent nanoscale enrichment within the wurtzite lattice without disrupting metal polarity. This study demonstrates that transition metals can be integrated into polar nitrides to enable polarization‐related ...

Spatial‐Compatibility‐Assisted Molecular Intercalation in MXenes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a solvent–free NH4F–mediated route for simultaneous Al removal and molecular intercalation in MXenes. Intercalants are selected by comparing their crystallographic X, Y, and Z dimensions with the MXene interlayer spacing, establishing a spatial‐compatibility criterion that rationalizes guest–host matching and enables predictive ...

Multi‐Stimuli Responsive Angstrom‐Scale Two‐Dimensional Channels of Natural Layered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Å‐scale ion channels naturally formed within the interlayers of vermiculite clay enable ionic current modulation in response to mechanical, chemical, and electrical stimuli. Coupled pressure and electric fields induce reversible streaming current (Istream) polarity inversion, which is explained by a modified surface charge regulation model.

Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Spectrally Programmable Spin‐Polarized Photocurrents in WSe2–NiPS3 Magnetic van der Waals Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Heterostructure photodiode devices of p‐type WSe2 with n‐type NiPS3 constructs spectrally protected spin‐polarized photocurrents. The energy of the excitation photon serves as an independent control parameter for spin‐selective photocurrent generation. ABSTRACT Efficient generation and control of spin‐polarized currents in semiconductors remain central

Dynamic Electrophoretic Assembly Coupled With Water‐Splitting‐Induced pH Control Enables Precision Ion Sieving Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A green, external‐catalyst‐free route grows defect‐free covalent organic framework membranes directly on ion‐exchange supports using an alternating electric field and in situ‐generated acid. Through a self‐regulating, self‐healing mechanism, the membranes achieve near‐complete, ultra‐fast separation of monovalent ions such as Li+, Na+, and K+, offering

Lithography‐Compatible Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks for Scalable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Conductive MOF thin films are integrated as gate electrodes in semiconductor devices through a photolithography‐compatible patterning strategy. CVD‐grown 2D MOF thin films enable stable operation across bottom‐gate MoS2/MoTe2 field‐effect transistors and top‐gate IGZO arrays, highlighting the potential of conductive MOFs as functional electronic ...
