Analysis of Melting Phenomena of the Alkali Halides: What Causes the Low Melting Points of the Lithium Halides?

open access: yesJournal of Mass Spectrometry, Volume 61, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The alkali halides, like other polar crystals, melt at high temperatures, but the melting points (Tm) of the lithium halides are conspicuously lower (by about 300 ± 70 K) than expected from reasonable comparisons with the other alkali halides.

The effects of coupled inductors in parallel interleaved buck converters

open access: yes, 2003
Interleaved switching and coupled inductors are proven methods for reducing DC-DC converter output ripple. This paper furthers discussions of these techniques to arrangements of many buck converters connected in parallel.

Postexercise Lactate Clearance, T2 Relaxation, and J‐Modulation in Human Skeletal Muscle Measured With Double‐Quantum Filtered 1H MRS at 7 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 6, Page 3065-3076, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose 1H MRS lactate measurements are potentially valuable for studying energy metabolism in working skeletal muscle, but some technical obstacles need to be overcome. Spectral filtering to isolate the lactate signal from overlapping lipid resonances shows promise.

Design and Implementation of an Interleaved Voltage-Doubler Boost Converter for Power Factor Correction

open access: yes, 2016
This thesis proposes a novel interleaved voltage-doubler boost converter and uses digital average current control to achieve power factor correction. The proposed converter uses a two-phase interleaved circuit to reduce the current stresses on components

A New Intercell Transformer for Interleaved Converters

open access: yes, 2009
This paper describes a new topology of interleaved power converters using intercell transformers. A modified sequence of the voltages applied to windings is used to reduce the flux density in the magnetic core branches, consequently reducing core losses and the risk of saturating the magnetic material.

Rift Development, Tectonic Forcings, and Magmatic Feedbacks at Santorini and Kolumbo Volcanoes Constrained by Scientific Drilling and Core‐Seismic Integration

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Volcanism in continental rifts, rifted volcanic arcs, and back‐arc basins is fundamentally coupled with crustal extension. However, the precise geometry and timing of the fault systems that facilitate magma transport and accommodate extension remain poorly constrained.

Achromatic Petal‐Shaped Beam Generation and Information Encoding Based on Perfect Vortex Beam

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
Based on petal‐shaped beams with controllable topological charge, size, and rotation angle, this work employs a spatially multiplexed all‐dielectric TiO2 transmissive array to numerically achieve achromatic petal‐shaped beams at three wavelengths: 480 nm, 530 nm, and 630 nm. Leveraging their unique intensity distribution and rotational characteristics,
