Synchronous motor winding segmentation for parallel interleaved inverters

2016 XXII International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2016
This paper deals with a new concept of winding segmentation of permanent-magnet synchronous machines originally presented in a recently published patent. Called, in this paper, the coupled star winding, this new segmentation winding allows reducing total loss and current ripples when fed by an interleaved parallel inverters.

A Family of Isolated Interleaved Boost and Buck Converters With Winding-Cross-Coupled Inductors

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2008
A boost-type converter is derived by inserting a third winding of the winding-cross-coupled inductors (WCCIs) between the secondary winding and the output diode of the interleaved flyback converter in this paper. A family of isolated interleaved boost or buck DC/DC converters with WCCIs is summarized by employing the four main types of interleaved ...

An Interleaved Winding-Coupled Boost Converter With Passive Lossless Clamp Circuits

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2007
An interleaved winding-coupled boost converter is proposed in order to realize ZCS turn-on condition and to achieve high step-up gain. The voltage gain is extended easily and the voltage stress on the switches is reduced with different turns ratios of the coupled inductors.

Impulse voltage distribution in intershield disk winding VS interleaved and continuous disk winding in power transformer

2008 IEEE 2nd International Power and Energy Conference, 2008
Strike of a lightning stroke to the high voltage terminal of a power transformer results in an impulse stress on its windings. The magnitude of the series capacitance of the windings has an important effect on the impulse voltage distribution and the stresses along the windings.

A manufacturing method for multilayer tube-winding with interleaved primary and secondary windings

APEC 2000. Fifteenth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (Cat. No.00CH37058), 2002
In this paper a new multilayer tube-winding method is presented and analyzed. With the proposed winding method it is possible to manufacture transformers with a high level of interleaving using specially shaped flexible conductor sheets. Leakage inductance of the proposed winding method is less than 10% of the value achieved with the traditional wire ...

Local Voltage Oscillation in Interleaved Transformer Windings

IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1981
In this paper, local voltage oscillation of each turn within sections of interleaved transformer winding are discussed. Because of interlacing of turns, each turn within a pair of sections of the winding has initial voltage distributions quite different from final voltage distributions.
