A High‐Resolution Self‐Powered Angular Displacement Sensor Based on Triboelectric Nanogenerator With Time‐Grating

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐powered phase‐encoding sensing paradigm enables direct motion‐to‐time information conversion, providing a compact and autonomous strategy for high resolution angular displacement measurement. ABSTRACT In modern manufacturing and engineering, angular displacement sensors are crucial for motion control and feedback systems in Electromechanical ...

Performance evaluation of interleaving techniques for IEEE 802.15.4 transmissions

open access: yes, 2014
In the wireless sensor network, the WLAN interference, multi-path fading andattenuation are the main reason for packets’ corruption. Forward errorcorrection is one of the methods for error mitigation.

Modular Metamaterials for Adaptable MRI Signal Control: Combining Dipole Array With a New Hexagon‐Based Artificial Dielectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible, hexagonally packed artificial dielectric providing a wide range of effective permittivities (εr ≈ 30–1400) without lumped elements was developed for clinical and ultra‐high‐field MRI. Combined with modular passive‐dipole arrays, the system enables adaptable RF field shaping through electric‐ and magnetic‐dipole tuning.

Interleaving techniques for high speed data transmission

open access: yes, 1993
© 1993 Wing Hong HuiInterleaving is a technique used to convert a transmission channel with memory into one that is memoryless. The performance of Forward Error Correction (FEC) systems operating in the presence of burst errors is improved by passing the

Interleaving with coroutines: a systematic and practical approach to hide memory latency in index joins

open access: yesThe VLDB journal, 2018
Index joins present a case of pointer-chasing code that causes data cache misses. In principle, we can hide these cache misses by overlapping them with computation: The lookups involved in an index join are parallel tasks whose execution can be ...

Single‐Molecule Imaging of Endogenous RNA Using a Miniaturized and Circularly Permuted CRISPR‐Cas13 Degron‐Masking System CDegSR

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDegSR, a new tool for imaging RNA at single molecule level in living cells was developed by researchers. Background noise was eliminated by protein engineering and making it degrade when not bound to its target. This allowed individual RNA molecules to be clearly imaged and tracked.

Probabilistic Computing via Gate‐Tunable Random Telegraph Noise

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intrinsic random telegraph noise in metal–oxide–semiconductor field‐effect transistors is harnessed to create gate‐tunable probabilistic bits. By modulating carrier‐trapping dynamics, the device produces stochastic binary outputs with a continuous bias‐to‐probability transfer.

Prophage Activation Triggers Extracellular Synthesis of DNA in Bacterial Biofilms via Rolling Circle Replication

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Shewanella oneidensis and Bacillus subtilis, both harboring prophages, reveal a novel biosynthetic route to scalable and programmable DNA superstructures in flower‐ and wire‐like shapes, respectively. Activation of prophages is achieved via 3‐hour starvation and monitored using reporter strains.

Micro/Nanoscale Acoustic Manipulation: From Particle Control to Autonomous Microswimmers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This conceptual framework illustrates acoustic technology as a multifunctional platform enabling passive particle manipulation across scales and autonomous propulsion of microswimmers. ABSTRACT Acoustic manipulation and propulsion technologies have emerged as powerful platforms for micro/nanoscale control, enabled by their non‐contact operation, label ...
