Functional studies of the interleukin 2 receptor (IL-2R) of two (ED515- D and Kit225) IL-2-dependent and three (ED515-I, 3T3-alpha beta 11, and Hut102) IL-2-independent cell lines were done. All of these cell lines appeared to express high as well as low

ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy type 1 (FSHD1) is a progressive neuromuscular disorder with no approved treatments. Identifying reliable biomarkers is critical to monitor disease severity, activity, and progression. Interleukin‐6 (IL‐6) has been proposed as a candidate biomarker, but longitudinal validation is limited ...

CD28-induced costimulation of T helper type 2 cells mediated by induction of responsiveness to interleukin 4. [PDF]
Type 1 and type 2 cloned T helper (Th) cells are believed to require different antigen-presenting cell (APC)-derived costimuli for proliferation. In the case of Th1-cloned T cells, CD28 signaling costimulates production of autocrine interleukin 2 (IL-2).

Relationship between serum level of interleukin-2 in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and disease activity in comparison with control group [PDF]
Background: Despite the large number of surveys, there are not any validated biomarkers for SLE disease activity till now. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between serum level of IL-2 in patients with SLE and disease activity in comparison ...

Frailty Exacerbates Disability in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Background To evaluate frailty in severe progressive multiple sclerosis (PMS) and to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Methods This prospective, cross‐sectional, multicenter study enrolled a late severe PMS group requiring skilled nursing (n = 53) and an age, sex, and disease duration‐matched control PMS group (n = 53).

Sarcoidosis and Propionibacterium acnes [PDF]
Although there have been numerous reports on the isolation of bacteria, fungus, and aetiological agents of chemical substances from specimens of patients with sarcoidosis, none of them have been substantiated.

Real‐World Investigation of Satralizumab in Patients With Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Satralizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin‐6 receptor, has demonstrated efficacy in clinical trials for neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). However, its real‐world effectiveness and safety compared to conventional immunosuppressive therapies remain uncertain.

Production of Interleukin-2 IL-2 and Expression of IL-2 Receptor in Patients with IgA Nephropathy
IL-2 production has been measured in several disease including type I diabetes mellitus, systemic lupus erythematosus, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and active pulmonary sarcoidosis and its pathogenetic role was suggested. In IgA nephropathy, altered T cell subsets were reported to be associated with increased synthesis of IgA.

Interleukin 2 (IL 2) administered in vivo: influence of IL 2 route and timing on T cell growth.
The influence of the route and the frequency of IL 2 administration on the ability of IL 2 to induce the growth of activated T cells in vivo was evaluated. Initial pharmacokinetic studies confirmed that i.v. injection of IL 2 results in a relatively high
