Shake Table Studies of Bridge Columns with Double Interlocking Spirals
ACI Structural Journal, 2007The only guidelines in the United States for the design of columns with interlocking spirals are the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Bridge Design Specifications and Seismic Design Criteria. Due to the limited research on interlocking spirals, these design provisions were based mainly on research on single spirals.

An activity for a National Chemistry Week outreach event has been designed in which children construct a periodic table out of LEGO building bricks. During the activity, children followed simple instructions to build the symbol of a particular element onto a 5.25 in. × 5.25 in. LEGO base plate.

We present our technique of closed nailing in diaphyseal femoral fractures treated between 1 to 14 days postinjury. The purpose of the study was to demonstrate the fact that such fractures can be treated closed in the absence of a fracture table or C-arm.In all, 200 consecutive closed femoral fractures were fixed 1 to 14 days postinjury during a period

Automated Generation of Safety Requirements from Railway Interlocking Tables
2012This paper describes a tool for extracting formal safety conditions from interlocking tables for railway interlocking systems. The tool has been applied to generate safety conditions for the interlocking system at Stenstrup station in Denmark, and the generated conditions were then checked to hold by the SAL model checker tool.

An Interlocking Table for Use in the Calculation of Multiple Correlation Coefficients
Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science (1903-), 1929R1.23456--/ 1-(1-r"12) (1-r213.2) (1-r'14.23) (1-r2 15.234) (1-r16.24345) By inspection, one can immediately realize the need for time saving devices that will insure a high degree of accuracy, The, purpose of this paper is to proceed immediately to the Censideration of an Interlocking Table for Use in Obtaining the Multiple Correlation value of any ...

On account of the growing number of railway upgrading projects implemented in Poland, there are numerous problems emerging while preparing and performing contracts. These include adequate designing and conceptualisation of upgrading, the altering of which affects the initial assumptions made by contractors.
