INTRAMEDULLARY INTERLOCKING NAILING WITHOUT IMAGE INTENSIFIER AND ORTHO TABLE

open access: yesThe Professional Medical Journal, 2012
Interlocking nails are the gold standard treatment of fractures of shaft of long bones of lower limbs. It is also frequently performedfor most of the humerus fractures. The procedure is commonly performed using an image intensifier and orthotable. These are expensive andare not readily available in peripheral/field hospitals especially in resource ...

International sport federations in the world city network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this article, we analyze the transnational urban geographies produced by international sport federations (ISFs) through their global, regional, and national headquarter locations. Data on the global urban presence of 35 major ISFs are examined through

Design and analysis of a reconfigurable discrete pin tooling system for molding of three-dimensional free-form objects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents the design and analysis of a new reconfigurable tooling for the fabrication of three-dimensional (3D) free-form objects. The proposed reconfigurable tooling system comprises a set of matrices of a closely stacked discrete elements (i ...

Modelling Railway Interlocking Tables Using Coloured Petri Nets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Interlocking tables are the functional specification defining the routes, on which the passage of the train is allowed. Associated with the route, the states and actions of all related signalling equipment are also specified. This paper formally models the interlocking tables using Coloured Petri Nets (CPN). The CPN model comprises two parts: Signaling

An Alternative Approach to the Calculation and Analysis of Connectivity in the World City Network

open access: yes, 2012
Empirical research on world cities often draws on Taylor's (2001) notion of an 'interlocking network model', in which office networks of globalized service firms are assumed to shape the spatialities of urban networks.

INTRAMEDULLARY INTERLOCKING NAILING; WITHOUT IMAGE INTENSIFIER, ORTHO-TABLE AND X-RAYS - A RECOGNIZED TECHNIQUE. (A COMPARATIVE STUDY)

open access: yesTHE PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL JOURNAL, 2017
Static I /M I/L Nailing is considered to be the gold standard for fixing mid-shaftfractures of long bones. Flexible nails or plates are used in children for internal fixation of suchfractures to avoid damage to epiphysis. Nailing is done under image intensifier using orthotable. These prerequisites are not available in all peripheral hospitals ...

Attraction and ionic correlations between charged stiff polyelectrolytes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We use Molecular Dynamics simulations to study attractive interactions and the underlying ionic correlations between parallel like-charged rods in the absence of additional salt.

Research on an Intelligent Management and Supervision System for a High-Speed Railway Interlocking Test

open access: yesIEEE Access
Interlocking tests are an important part of ensuring the safe and secure operation of trains, and it is urgent for these tests to be more intelligent, automatic, and networked. The requirements for interlocking tests are particularly stringent during the

Putting Patient Concerns on the Policy Agenda

open access: yesVoices in Bioethics, 2021
Photo by Possessed Photography on Unsplash INTRODUCTION  Currently, the interests of patients at most levels of policymaking are represented by a disconnected patchwork of groups focusing on disease, age, ethnicity, or gender, like Susan G.

SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF INTERLOCKING SPIRAL AND RECTANGULAR COLUMNS BASED ON SHAKE TABLE EXPERIMENT

open access: yesDoboku Gakkai Ronbunshuu A, 2009
