A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Concentrated, Gradient Electrolyte Design for Superior Low-Temperature Li-Metal Batteries
Improving the low-temperature performance of lithium-ion batteries is critical for their widespread adoption in cold environments. In this study, we designed a novel LHCE featuring a solvent polarity gradient, designed to maximize both room- and low ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Effect of Reaction Media on Photosensitized [2+2]‐Cycloaddition of Cinnamates
The outcome of photosensitized [2+2]‐cycloaddition reactions of various cinnamates has been compared in different reaction media, including homogeneous organic solutions under inert conditions, degassed water, and aerated physical gels.

XMM-Newton and Optical Observations of Cataclysmic Variables from SDSS
We report on XMM-Newton and optical results for 6 cataclysmic variables that were selected from Sloan Digital Sky Survey spectra because they showed strong HeII emission lines, indicative of being candidates for containing white dwarfs with strong ...

An alternative model of the magnetic cataclysmic variable V1432 Aquilae (=RX J1940.1-1025) [PDF]
V1432 Aql is currently considered to be an asynchronous AM Her type system, with an orbital period of 12116.3 s and a spin period of 12150 s. I present an alternative model in which V1432 Aql is an intermediate polar with disk overflow or diskless ...

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Plasticity of intermediate mechanics students’ coordinate system choice
We investigate the interplay between mathematics and physics resources in intermediate mechanics students. In the mechanics course, the selection and application of coordinate systems is a consistent thread.

The Intriguing Nature of the Cataclysmic Variable SS Cygni
The classification of SS Cyg as a dwarf nova (DN), a subclass of the non–magnetic (NM) cataclysmic variable (CV) has been considered by most of the community as well established because of a paper appeared in Nature (Bath & van Paradijs, 1983), which was
