Isotropy of Intermetallic Compounds

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Science, Engineering and Applications, 2014
The norm of elastic constant tensor and the norms of the irreducible parts of the elastic constants of Intermetallic compounds are calculated. The relation of the scalar parts norm and the other parts norms and the anisotropy of these compounds are present ed. The norm ratios are used to study anisotropy of these compounds.

Entropy Decoding the Fundamental Law of Phase Competition in Glass Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We validate the integration of intermetallic and eutectic phases as initial phases for composition design. The phase competition mechanism in glass formation is quantitatively clarified based on the melting entropy of competing phases. Glass‐forming ability is modulated by tuning phase competition via the melting entropy of initial phases.

Evaluation of point defect concentrations in B2-FeAl intermetallic compound [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Thermal defects are studied for three compositions (49, 50 and 52 at.%Fe) of the intermetallic compound FeAl with B2 structure. Magnetic measurements are used to determine the thermal defect concentrations.

Confinement‐Driven CO Spillover in CuAg@MSN Tandem Catalysts Boosts C2 Selectivity Toward Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The CuAg@MSN catalyst developed in this study promotes C─C coupling by regulating the coverage of *CO intermediates through spatial confinement effects, significantly enhancing the selectivity of CO2 electroreduction for C2 product formation. ABSTRACT Tandem catalysts represent a promising paradigm for synergistic electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2RR ...

An exciting Approach to Theoretical Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Theoretical spectroscopy, and more generally, electronic‐structure theory, are powerful concepts for describing the complex many‐body interactions in materials. They cover methods from ground‐state properties to lattice excitations and light‐matter interaction, including time‐resolved variants.
