Practical Use of Continuous Glucose Monitoring to Adjust Glucose‐Lowering Therapy in Hemodialysis Patients: A Case Series

open access: yesHemodialysis International, Volume 30, Issue 1, Page 296-301, January 2026.

The Implementation of Persistent Spinal Pain Syndrome (PSPS): Mechanism‐Based Recommendations

open access: yesPain Practice, Volume 26, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In 2021, the term persistent spinal pain syndrome (PSPS) was introduced. PSPS type 2 (PSPS‐T2) replaced the unsatisfactory term failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS). PSPS type 1 (PSPS‐T1) is a clinical picture of signs and symptoms of FBSS but without prior surgery. PSPS applies to any spinal level.

Effect of Nordic Walking on Anthropometrics, Glycemia, and Lipid Profile in Adults With Prediabetes or Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background Lifestyle interventions, including Nordic walking, a whole‐body exercise session, are beneficial for metabolic diseases, including diabetes. However, evidence from research studies or meta‐analyses on the efficacy of Nordic walking in improving clinical outcomes in patients with diabetes/prediabetes remains inconclusive.

The Effect of Atmospheric Saturated Oxygen Combined With Intelligent Upper and Lower Limb Rehabilitation Training on Diabetic Lower Extremity Arterial Disease

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Objective The objective of this study is to explore the effect of bedside normobaric saturated oxygen inhalation combined with upper and lower limb rehabilitation training on diabetic lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD). Methods From January 2022 to December 2023, 60 DM‐LEAD patients from the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University were ...

Real-life adaptations in walking patterns in patients with established peripheral arterial disease assessed using a global positioning system in the community: A cohort study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Objective: Lower extremity peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a chronic condition most commonly presenting with intermittent claudication (IC). IC limits walking ability and may negatively affect health-related quality of life.

Absence of Preceding Intermittent Claudication and its Associated Clinical Freatures in Patients with Critical Limb Ischemia.

open access: yesJournal of atherosclerosis and thrombosis, 2015
AIM The current study investigated how prevalent the absence of a prior history of intermittent claudication would be in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI) and examined the associated clinical features.

Incorporating an exercise rehabilitation programme for people with intermittent claudication into an established cardiac rehabilitation service : a protocol for a pilot study. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Introduction: Current UK guidance for the treatment of intermittent claudication (IC) states that supervised exercise programmes (SEPs) should be offered as first-line treatment [1], prior to surgical interventions.
