One‐Pot Direct Recycling of Spent LiCoO2 via Synergistic Binder Defluorination and Phase Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Li+‐DES system enables targeted defluorination and synergistic repair of spent LiCoO2 cathodes in a single medium. The regenerated material recovers a well‐ordered layered structure with a high capacity of 157.4 mAh g−1 and 83.1% capacity retention after 300 cycles, demonstrating a sustainable and efficient closed‐loop recycling strategy for lithium ...

Ultrafast Chemical Pre‐Sodiation of Pseudocapacitive CaV8O20 Anodes for High‐Performance Sodium‐Ion Capacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ultrafast (2‐minute), gas‐free chemical pre‐sodiation strategy using Na‐benzophenone is developed to compensate for initial sodium loss in calcium vanadate (CaV8O20). Driven by the Ca2+ ‘spectator effect’, the framework enables highly reversible, quasi‐zero‐strain solid‐solution sodium storage, explicitly bypassing destructive conversion reactions ...

Light‐Absorbing‐Layer‐Free Flash Lamp Annealing for High‐Throughput Fabrication of All‐Solution‐Processed Oxide Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flash lamp annealing strategy using a mullite chuck enables rapid conversion of sol–gels to metal oxides on silicon and ultra‐thin glass without extra light‐absorbing layers. Direct light absorption initiates the transformation, and the low thermal conductivity of mullite promotes heat accumulation.

A Dispersant‐Driven Carbon‐Binder Domains Homogeneity in High‐Energy‐Density Electrodes for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A polar dispersant, aromatic‐functionalized polyacrylate (AFPA), enables the formation of a uniform CBD network by enhancing miscibility with PVDF and suppressing phase separation. This leads to α‐phase crystallization of PVDF and aligned CNT networks within the CBD, resulting in well‐connected structures that improve cohesion, electron/ion transport ...
