Enhancement of Rolandic Mu Rhythm by Intermittent Photic Stimulation
American Journal of EEG Technology, 1993ABSTRACT.We present an unusual phenomenon seen while looking for epileptiform disturbance on a routine EEG examination of a young woman. During intermittent photic stimulation (IPS), irrespective of flash frequency, a prominent 10 Hz bicentral mu rhythm was consistently evoked.

To assess the effect of intermittent photic stimulation (IPS) at a common activating frequency, i.e. 20Hz, on motor cortex excitability by means of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in photosensitive patients with idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE).We studied 15 photosensitive IGE patients showing a photoparoxysmal response (PPR) to IPS at ...

Responses of the isolated mammalian retina to intermittent and steady photic stimulation
Vision Research, 1964Abstract The potential usually recorded from the isolated retina probably corresponds to the P-III component of Granit. It was found that during intermittent photic stimulation (IPS), all responses tended toward a set negative potential value but the response excursion was limited by the decay process of the potential. The rate of decay of the massed
