Emerging Triboelectric Nanogenerators for In‐Body Implantation

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
This review explores functional implantable triboelectric nanogenerators in biomedical applications, discussing their mechanisms, electricity generation, and design approaches. To solve postimplantation challenges, four types of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) are introduced: stretchable, bioadhesive, on‐demand biodegradable, and multiresponsive ...

The internal sphincter and anal fissure

open access: yesJournal of British Surgery, 1977
Abstract The activity of the internal anal sphincter in patients with fissure has been studied by measuring anal pressure and motility with a small balloon probe. The mean maximum anal pressure in 12 patients with fissure (116·8 ± 21·8, s.d., cm H2O) was significantly higher lhan that in 40 control subjects (85·0 ± 20·5 cm

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Impact of FDG‐PET/CT Following MRI Staging in Anal Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Accurate staging is essential in anal cancer to guide therapy and prognostication. While MRI remains the modality of choice for local staging, its limitations in assessing nodal and distant metastases have prompted evaluation of FDG PET/CT as an adjunct.
