This study investigated whether using a larger image matrix (1024 × 1024 pixels instead of 512 × 512) improves the visibility of tiny brain arteries on CT scans performed with standard 64‐slice scanners. While physical image quality measurements remained unchanged, the larger matrix provided finer digital sampling of blood vessel structures, resulting ...

ABSTRACT Cerebral ischemia–reperfusion injury (CI/RI) is a major cause of secondary neuronal damage following ischemic stroke. This study investigated whether terazosin (TZ) exerts neuroprotective effects by regulating mitophagy and the reactive oxygen species (ROS)/NOD‐like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome axis.

ABSTRACT The instability of atherosclerotic plaques, particularly intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH), drives life‐threatening cardiovascular events, a process in which vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC)‐derived foam cells play a significant role. We aim to identify key biomarkers associated with VSMC‐derived foam cells and IPH by analyzing data from human ...

Intravascular Placement of A Nasogastric Tube: Clinical Presentation and Surgical Management
We report a rare case of inadvertent intravascular placement of a nasogastric tube following pharyngeal perforation, with extension through the internal jugular vein into the central venous system. Prompt radiological diagnosis and controlled surgical removal allowed successful management, highlighting the importance of early recognition and a ...
