On the Internal Consistency of the Beta II

Psychological Reports, 1984
The internal consistency of the Beta II, a recent revision of the Revised Beta Examination, was examined for a sample of alcoholic inpatients (81 men, 19 women) of low ability and socioeconomic status. They were aged 19 to 65 yr. ( M = 36.6, SD = 9.2) and had been admitted for treatment at a state agency for rehabilitation for alcoholism.

Internal Consistency of Poi Scales

Psychological Reports, 1973
Data from a sample of 500 male prisoners were analyzed to obtain K-R 20 estimates of internal consistency for the 12 scales on the Personal Orientation Inventory. As might be expected from the varied content of the items in each scale, their internal consistency was low to moderate.

On the Internal Consistency of Magnitude Estimations

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1972
The data from experiments in magnitude estimation of discomfort glare and loudness are reported. A distribution of stimuli and judgments was used which allowed a check for the internal consistency of the magnitude estimations. An interval interpretation of the resulting scales for glare and loudness was found to be more compatible with the consistency

Internal Consistency of Choice

Econometrica, 1993
Internal consistency of choice has been a central concept in economics, decision theory, and social choice. This idea is essentially confused. We cannot determine whether a choice function is consistent without referring to something external to choice (e.g., objectives, values). The standard results have to be reexamined in this light.

International Consistency of Auditor Specialization

International Journal of Auditing, 2011
The objective of this paper is to investigate whether auditor industry specialization is consistent across countries. If the specialized knowledge of auditors can be transferred from one country to another, we can expect that international audit firms show consistent patterns of industry specialization across countries.

Internal Consistency in Handprinting

Canadian Society of Forensic Science Journal, 1987
ABSTRACTHandprinting exemplars from 48 persons were studied to determine the extent of their internal consistency and the relationships among similarly constructed letters. Several parameters were examined including:- ratio- design features among the a, b and d- design features among the lower zones of the g, j, and y- relationship between the m and n-

Structure and internal consistency of a shoulder model

Journal of Biomechanics, 1995
A three-dimensional biomechanical model of the shoulder is developed for force predictions in 46 shoulder structures. The model is directed towards the analysis of static working situations where the load is low or moderate. Arbitrary static arm postures in the natural shoulder range may be considered, as well as different kinds of external loads ...

International Assessment of the Internal Consistency of Respiratory Symptoms

American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 2000
We aimed to assess cross-cultural validity of the reporting of respiratory symptoms in the European Community Respiratory Health Study (ECRHS). A random sample of subjects from the general population (aged 20-44 yr), from 35 centers in 15 countries, answered a questionnaire and underwent allergy tests and airway challenge with methacholine. The overall

Internal consistency of FRSM specifications

Journal of Systems and Software, 1995
Abstract In recent years, research on the integration of structured system analysis methods and formal methods to provide more effective tools for industrial-scale software development has grown. One tool that has been successfully designed on this basis is the formal requirements specification method (FRSM).

An Internally-Consistent Thermodynamics for Elastomers

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1969
Abstract Thermodynamic relations for solids in the rubbery state can be obtained from the Jacobian table, Table I. Numerical data that have been obtained under conditions of optimum reversibility have the same significance as has been assigned by Krigbaum and Roe and previous authors.
