Internal Combustion Engines Fault Diagnostics
2020This article describes the methods of diagnosing internal combustion engines (ICE). The conclusion is drawn that the majority of modern methods and ICE diagnostic devices don’t solve fully a problem of determination of technical condition of the engine, often are labor-consuming and expensive. The choice of a method and mode of diagnosing of ICE on the

Modeling transformer internal faults using Matlab
11th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference (IEEE Cat. No.02CH37379), 2003This paper describes a technique for modeling transformer internal faults using MATLAB. In this technique a model for simulating a two-winding-single-phase transformer is modified to be suitable for simulating an internal fault in one of the windings.

Paradigmatic Faults in International-Relations Theory
International Studies Quarterly, 2009American scholars routinely characterize the study of international relations as divided between various Kuhnian “paradigms” or Lakatosian “research programmes.” Although most international relations scholars have abandoned Kuhn's account of scientific continuity and change, many utilize Lakatosian criteria to assess the “progressive” or “degenerative”

Physical Modeling of Induction Internal Fault
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Features analysis of propagation for harmonic probing signal having spiral topology of ax symmetric conducting inductive structure is conducted. The structure has violations in the form of short circuit of adjacent coil’s turns. Visualization of the results obtained is represented involving Parawey fan to spatially display phase distortions during the ...

Average-Value Modeling of Diode Rectifier Systems Under Asymmetrical Operation and Internal Faults
IEEE transactions on energy conversion, 2018Line-commutated rectifiers (LCRs) are extensively utilized in exciters of large electrical machines, ac–dc power systems of ships, vehicles, aircraft, and many other industrial applications.

Internal fault simulation in synchronous machines
2000 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering. Conference Proceedings. Navigating to a New Era (Cat. No.00TH8492), 2002This paper describes a synchronous machine model that can be used to simulate internal fault waveforms for power system protection studies. The need to develop the machine model in the direct phase domain is explained and a method to calculate the inductances involving the faulty windings is outlined using a four pole lap wound machine.

Detecting I/O and Internal Feedback Bridging Faults
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1985The testing of bridging faults (short circuits) has become increasingly important with the increasing density in VLSI chips. Yet very little work has been done in this area. In this correspondence, based on a two-state sequential machine model, we present the conditions for a circuit with feedback bridgings to oscillate and to exhibit stable sequential

Spectral Fault Signatures for Internally Unate Combinational Networks
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1983A method is described for the derivation of fault signatures for certain classes or irredundant combinational networks. These signatures consist of a set of values derived from the network. Any stuck-at fault causes at least one of the values to change. The signatures provide complete fault detection for all single stuck-at faults.
