Sandbox Modeling of Transrotational Tectonics With Changeable Poles: Implications for the Yinggehai Basin

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2021
The main formation of the Yinggehai Basin has been related to the rotation of the Indochina block, resulting in large-scale strike-slip motion along the Red River Fault Zone (RRFZ).

Estimating Residual Faults from Code Coverage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Many reliability prediction techniques require an estimate for the number of residual faults. In this paper, a new theory is developed for using test coverage to estimate the number of residual faults.

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Simulation of electrical faults of three phase induction motor drive system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The title of this project is Simulation of electrical faults of three phase induction motor drive system. Induction motor or asynchronous motor is a type of alternating current motor where power is supplied to the rotor by means of electromagnetic ...

Will My Tests Tell Me If I Break This Code? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Automated tests play an important role in software evolution because they can rapidly detect faults introduced during changes. In practice, code-coverage metrics are often used as criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of test suites with focus on ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

A new pilot directional protection method for HVDC line based on the polarity of inductive energy

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2021
Concerning the poor immunity of DC line protection to fault resistance in the case of internal fault and its mal‐operation proneness in the case of external fault, a new pilot directional protection scheme for HVDC line in AC/DC hybrid system based on ...

Cache-Oblivious VAT-Algorithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The VAT-model (virtual address translation model) extends the EM-model (external memory model) and takes the cost of address translation in virtual memories into account. In this model, the cost of a single memory access may be logarithmic in the largest
