Simulation Study on Internal Fault of Transformer

open access: yesPhysics Procedia, 2012
AbstractThe paper studies internal fault of transformer. We established the primary system model of transformer based on MATLAB/Simulink, and setted calculation combined with actual differential protection for a given parameter transformer. Using simulink to simulate test of short-circuit.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Fault-tolerant quantum computation versus Gaussian noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We study the robustness of a fault-tolerant quantum computer subject to Gaussian non-Markovian quantum noise, and we show that scalable quantum computation is possible if the noise power spectrum satisfies an appropriate "threshold condition." Our ...

Advanced Fault Tolerant Air-Fuel Ratio Control of Internal Combustion Gas Engine for Sensor and Actuator Faults

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The reliability of a process machine can be significantly enhanced by introducing a fault-tolerant control system in it. Hardware redundancy is an important aspect to enhance fault tolerance capability and is studied in this paper.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

A Harmonic Based Pilot Protection Scheme for VSC-MTDC Grids with PWM Converters

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
This paper presents a selective harmonic-based pilot protection scheme for detecting faults happened in the DC transmission section of VSC-MTDC grids with pulse width modulation (PWM) voltage source converters (VSCs).

Effects of thinking-aloud pair problem solving on the troubleshooting performance of undergraduate students in a power technology course [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
A randomized post-test-only experimental design with a counter-balanced internal replication was used to determine the effects of thinking-aloud pair problem solving (TAPPS) on the troubleshooting performance of college students in a power technology ...

Fault estimation and fault-tolerant control for discrete-time dynamic systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a novel discrete-time estimator is proposed, which is employed for simultaneous estimation of system states, and actuator/sensor faults in a discrete-time dynamic system.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.
