Water impact analysis of space shuttle solid rocket motor by the finite element method [PDF]

open access: yes
Preliminary analysis showed that the doubly curved triangular shell elements were too stiff for these shell structures. The doubly curved quadrilateral shell elements were found to give much improved results.

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Training vs. Competition: Load and Intensity Differences Between Multi-Feeding and Simulated Match Play in High-Level Youth Badminton Players

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Badminton is an intermittent sport with a diverse exercise profile that stresses both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. The aim of this study was to compare the internal and external load profiles of multi-feeding (MF) drills and simulated match play

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

The use of TRIMPS to quantify training load in small-sided games in handball

open access: yesE-balonmano.com: Revista de Ciencias del Deporte, 2016
The aim of this study was to examine the internal load of use by a single parameter which includes the two basic components of the training load, volume, in the form of minutes, and intensity by the percentage of heart rate (HR), to determine the ...
