Isolation and Antibiogram of Staphylococcus aureus Isolated From Bovine Mastitis in Bardaghat Municipality, Nepal

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
This study investigated the prevalence and antibiotic resistance of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from bovine mastitis in Bardaghat Municipality, Nepal. Screening 196 milk samples revealed a 39.79% prevalence of S. aureus, with 100% of the isolates exhibiting resistance to oxacillin, indicating the widespread presence of MRSA.

Diagnosis and management of equine metabolic syndrome

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Education, Volume 38, Issue 9, Page 471-480, September 2026.
Summary Equine metabolic syndrome (EMS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder that increases the risk of hyperinsulinaemia‐associated laminitis (HAL), the most common and clinically significant form of laminitis. The central pathological feature of EMS is insulin dysregulation (ID), which encompasses basal or postprandial hyperinsulinaemia and tissue ...

Transcriptomic Profiling of Canine Mammary Tumours Reveals Significant Heterogeneity Between and Within Histological Classes

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, Volume 24, Issue 3, Page 444-457, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This study presents a comprehensive transcriptomic analysis of 128 canine mammary tumours (CMTs), aiming to characterize their molecular landscape. Differential gene expression analysis (DGE), gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) and clustering based on the human PAM50 gene panel were applied to explore molecular differences between the ...

Transcriptomic and microRNA Profiling Suggest a Candidate RIPPLY1–cfa‐miR‐187 Relationship in Canine Mammary Gland Tumours From Dogs With Confirmed Metastasis

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, Volume 24, Issue 3, Page 631-642, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Canine mammary gland tumours (MGT) represent a common malignancy in intact female dogs, with a high metastasis rate approaching 50% and a poor prognosis. However, metastasis‐related genes remain largely unelucidated. Accordingly, we aimed to identify differentially expressed mRNAs and miRNAs in primary canine MGT tissues from dogs with or ...

Women in space: A review of known physiological adaptations and health perspectives

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 9, Page 3944-3967, 1 September 2026.
Abstract Exposure to the spaceflight environment causes adaptations in most human physiological systems, many of which are thought to affect women differently from men. Since only 11.5% of astronauts worldwide have been female, these issues are largely understudied.
