The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1976To better evaluate the incidence of atherosclerosis in the internal mammary artery (IMA), 215 IMA segments from routine postmortem examinations were evaluated microscopically. The patient's postoperative period was almost uneventful. At his cardiac preoperative examination, a malignant tumor of the urinary tract had been suspected, so computed tomography (CT) was performed after discharge, on the 48th postoperative day.
