Dosimetric impact of aperture‐restricted VMAT on heart dose in breast cancer treated with regional nodal irradiation

Abstract Background Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) is increasingly used for breast and chest wall (CW) treatment with regional nodal irradiation (RNI) because of its ability to sculpt dose around complex target volumes. However, VMAT can increase low‐dose radiation to surrounding normal tissues and particularly increase cardiac dose.

Biomimetic Vascular Scaffold with Seamless Electrospun Aligned Nanofiber Conduit and 3D‐Printed Coil Reinforcement

We introduce a new fabrication method that overcomes the current limitation of tubular gap electrospinning. We successfully fabricated a seamless hollow tube with fibers aligned along the longitudinal axis in diameters as small as 300 µm, and then reinforced it using 4‐axis 3D printing.
