Social and Cultural Dimensions of Market Expansion [PDF]

open access: yes
We have identified three dimensions of market expansion: the growth of market oriented production and trade, internal and external market integration and the creation of virtual markets. These three processes can occur side by side and are connected with

Microstructure‐Resolved Modeling to Predicting and Regulating Lithium Plating‐Stripping Dynamics on Graphite Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The lithium plating reaction in graphite electrodes acts as a root cause for the accelerated degradation and the internal short circuits in lithium‐ion batteries. Here, an electrochemical model based on multi‐scale microstructural images was established to identify lithium plating‐stripping processes, thereby supporting the predictive outcomes

Diversity of Contract Law and the European Internal Market [PDF]

open access: yes
This contribution discusses the question whether diversity of contract law among the European member states is a barrier to cross-border trade. This question is important in view of the ongoing debate about the need for a unified European private law. It

Crystal Facet‐Polysaccharide Matching in CFS‐P Nanocrystals Drives Fungal Uptake, Vacuole Destruction, and Selective Antifungal Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Facet‐engineered PVP‐capped CuFeSe2 nanocrystals exhibit potent, selective antifungal activity by strongly binding cell‐wall mannan, enabling vacuolar entry and organelle disruption. High‐index facets show superior mannan affinity, validated by theoretical calculations and experiments. CFS‐P induces vacuolar cavitation, mitochondrial abnormalities, and

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

In Situ Formation of an In–Zn Interface Layer Enables Aqueous Zinc‐Ions Batteries with High Capacity Retention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates an indium zinc oxide (IZO)‐modified separator applied to aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs), which in situ generates an In–Zn interface layer to stabilize the separator/anode region during the cycling process. The In–Zn interface layer provides richer nucleation sites for Zn2+ and suppresses side reactions.
