Internal pressure and solubility parameter as a function of pressure

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2005
Abstract The main goal of this work was to measure the solubility parameter of a complex mixture, such as a crude oil, especially as a function of pressure. Thus, its definition is explained, as well as the main approximations generally used in literature.

Internal and external pressures

The Learning Organization, 2012
PurposeThis study aims to investigate how an organic cotton production network learns to maintain its hybrid network and its sustainability in the face of internal and external pressures.Design/methodology/approachA qualitative case study was conducted in Justa Trama, a Brazilian‐based organic cotton production network formed by six members with ...

The international financial architecture under pressure

2023
Despite the growing consensus that the rise of China is transforming international relations, policy makers and scholars have not sufficiently addressed the geopolitical and geoeconomic implications of a new paradigm, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russo-Ukrainian war. This book fills this gap.

Internal pressure of a thermodynamically ideal mixture and the excess internal pressure

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2002
The excess internal pressure is often discussed in terms of molecular interactions in liquid mixtures. The additivity of internal pressures in the mole fraction scale is often erroneously assumed for an ideal mixture. In this paper, a thermodynamically correct formula for the excess internal pressure is suggested and compared with that based on the ...

Creep of Tubes under Internal Pressure

Russian Metallurgy (Metally), 2019
30 tubes made of an E110 zirconium alloy of standard and optimized compositions are subjected to creep tests under internal pressure at a temperature of 350 and 380°C and a circumferential stress σ = 70, 100, and 130 MPa. The circumferential strain is maximal during tests at a stress of 130 MPa for 4000 h: it is 1.5% at 350°C and about 6% at 380°C. The

TOROIDAL MEMBRANE UNDER INTERNAL PRESSURE

AIAA Journal, 1963
In the case of a circular toroidal membrane under internal pressure there is no solution of the linear membrane equations for which the displacements are continuous. One possible resolution of the difficulty depends on introduction of an internal bending boundary layer.

Internal Pressures on the Resource

2017
The United States water resource is unevenly distributed and in many locations greatly overused. This chapter looks at the major internal forces that are adversely affecting our water supplies, withdrawals by eight categories of water users: public supply (domestic, commercial, and municipal supplied by public and private utilities), domestic (self ...
