Advanced glycation end products promote the release of endothelial cell‐derived mitocytosis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Under diabetic conditions, AGEs induce mitochondrial damage in HUVECs, activating migrasome‐mediated mitocytosis. Migrasomes encapsulate damaged mitochondria and are released into the extracellular space, facilitating intercellular mitochondrial transfer.

The Internal Structure of Yellow Cuboid Diamonds from Alluvial Placers of the Northeastern Siberian Platform

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
Yellow cuboid diamonds are commonly found in diamondiferous alluvial placers of the Northeastern Siberian platform. The internal structure of these diamonds have been studied by optical microscopy, X-Ray topography (XRT) and electron backscatter ...

Internal structure of Einstein-Yang-Mills-Dilaton black holes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1997
We study the interior structure of the Einstein-Yang-Mills-Dilaton black holes as a function of the dilaton coupling constant $\gamma\in [0,1]$. For $\gamma\neq 0$ the solutions have no internal Cauchy horizons and the field amplitudes follow a power law behavior near the singularity.

Swirl Characteristics of Vortex Valve Variable-Thrust Solid Rocket Motor

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2018
In accordance with the flow characteristics of vortex valve variable-thrust solid rocket motors, a cold flow experimental system based on Particle Image Velocimetry was established.

The Butterfly Diagram Internal Structure

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2010
A time-latitude diagram, where the spotgroup area is taken into account, is presented for cycles 12 through 23. The results show that the spotted area is concentrated in few, small portions ("knots") of the Butterfly Diagram (BD). The BD may be described as a cluster of knots. Knots are distributed in the butterfly wings in a seemingly randomly way.

Craton formation: Internal structure inherited from closing of the early oceans

open access: yes, 2014
The closure of ancient oceans created a dynamic setting suitable for craton formation via the thickening of continental material over a mantle downwelling.

Digital Light Processing of 2D Lattice Composites for Tunable Self‐Sensing and Mechanical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
The study presents the mechanical and in situ sensing performance of digital light processing‐enabled 2D lattice nanocomposites under monotonic tensile and repeated cyclic loading, and provides guidelines for the design of architectures suitable for strain sensors and smart lightweight structures.

A model structure on internal categories in simplicial sets [PDF]

open access: yesTheory and Applications of Categories, Vol. 30, No. 20, 2015, pp. 704-750, 2014
We put a model structure on the category of categories internal to simplicial sets whose weak equivalences are reflected by the nerve functor to bisimplicial sets with Rezk's model structure. This model structure is shown to be Quillen equivalent to Rezk's model structure, thus internal category are another model for $(\infty,1)$-categories.

Uranus’s complex internal structure

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. Uranus’s bulk composition remains unknown. Although there are clear indications that Uranus’s interior is not fully convec-tive, and therefore has a non-adiabatic temperature profile, many interior models continue to assume an adiabatic interior. Aims.
