Internal Dosimetry Evaluations
Health Physics, 1986A computerized approach to the average absorbed dose calculations in the standard human body is reported. For each selected radionuclide, a matrix S of the order n X n is constructed and stored in the computer. The matrix elements consist of the absorbed dose coefficients per unit cumulated activity (rad microCi-1 hr-1) for n different organs.

Estimation of Genetic (Co)variance Components for International Evaluation of Dairy Bulls
, 1996Within- and across-country genetic parameters need to be estimated prior to an international genetic evaluation of dairy bulls. A procedure based on the Expectation Maximization algorithm to produce restricted maximum likelihood estimates of such ...

Evaluating and developing international cooperation
International Journal of Continuing Engineering Education and Lifelong Learning, 2000Transnationality is a core criterion of the European Community programs. As such it can be regarded as an instrument by which change in policy and practice can be effected at different levels from the local level to the European. Transnational collaboration being hypothetically of synergistic nature will nevertheless have to be questioned.

Evaluating the performance of internal mixers
1997High intensity batch mixers trace their origin back to 1835, when the first roll mills were used by Edwin Chaffe for mixing rubber. The Banbury high intensity batch mixer followed in 1916. Many design changes to these basic rubber mixing devices have been implemented, particularly to improve the efficiency of dispersion of carbon black.

Internal evaluation, historically speaking
New Directions for Evaluation, 2011AbstractThe author analyzes the growth and nature of internal evaluation from the 1960s to the present and suggests that internal evaluation has been on the increase because of its perceived importance. Although the 1960s were characterized by a rich intellectual development of evaluation theory and practice, the fiscal conservatism of the 1980s ...

Communicating Evaluation Results: The Internal Evaluator Perspective
1987Few would question the strategic nature of evaluation. Yet, it is surprising that considerations about its utilization — the ultimate success indicator of an evaluation — are left for the end, if at all considered. Among these considerations, communications is key.
