The Enduring Question of International Order

Abstract This chapter maps the highly variegated International Political Sociology (IPS) literature on order, identifying key axes of debate and points of convergence. IPS is a broad church, including relationism, intersubjectivity, and historicism. To showcase the theoretical diversity of IPS, the chapter uses two fundamental questions.
