Review of Thin Lithium Metal Battery Anode Fabrication – Microstructure – Electrochemistry Relations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thin, lightweight lithium‐metal anodes are pivotal for practical high‐energy batteries. This review surveys processing routes that convert diverse Li precursors, e.g., ingots, melts, solutions, and vapor, into Li‐rich foils with controlled thickness, areal density, and tailored functionality.

Airbrushing: A Novel Method for Preparation of High‐Emissivity Black Coating for Infrared Measurements

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study showcases the airbrush method, a novel coating technique for the preparation of thin black paint coatings for infrared camera measurements. Using the method, coatings with an emissivity of 0.95, and as thin as 3 µm can be prepared. The method is affordable, non‐destructive, and can be prepared onto a wide range of substrates while ...

Calhm6 Governs Macrophage Polarization Through Chp1‐Camk4‐Creb1 Axis and Ectosomal Delivery in Inflammatory Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Calhm6 drives M2 macrophage polarization via the Chp1‐Camk4‐Creb1 axis, suppressing inflammation through calcium‐dependent ectosomal delivery. Calhm6 deficiency enhances M1 responses, boosting bactericidal activity but exacerbating tissue damage. LPS/IFNγ upregulate Calhm6 via Irf1, while IL‐4/Stat6 inhibits it, balancing immune outcomes.

Causation in International Relations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Causal claims are bound into the fabric of international relations (IR). Efforts to explain past outcomes, to predict future developments, to comprehend the range of options open to international actors, to advance policy prescriptions, and to evaluate policy decisions vis-à-vis possible alternatives all typically rely, explicitly or implicitly, on ...

Establishment of “Structure‐Efficiency” Relationship in Ultra‐High Purity Metal Systems: Multi‐Scale Analysis of Tellurium as a Prototype

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By combining theoretical calculations with zone refining experiments, the quantitative relationship between purification efficiency and microstructure can be established. This multi‐scale investigation establishes a comprehensive framework for understanding the “structure‐efficiency” relationship in ultra‐high‐purity metals, providing theoretical ...
