Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Unveiling Exsolution‐Induced Giant Electronic and Magnetic Property Changes in Non‐Stoichiometric Titanate Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A giant insulator to metal transition and emergent superparamagnetism are revealed by nanoparticle exsolution in non‐stoichiometric titanate perovskite thin films. By combining transport, synchrotron spectroscopy, and first‐principles calculations, this work reveals how defect reconfiguration and lattice reconstruction fundamentally reshape electronic ...

Additive Manufacturing of Ordered Polymer Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new 3D printing strategy, Polymerization‐Induced Arrangement of Nanostructures with Order‐tunability (PIANO), enables the formation of ordered nanostructures in polymer materials by enhancing chain mobility during photopolymerization, overcoming the kinetic arrest that leads to disordered morphologies in the conventional Polymerization‐Induced ...

International Trade, Factor Mobility, and Trade Costs

open access: yesThe Economic Journal, 1995
We consider a Heckscher-Ohlin model in which goods and factors of production can be traded, but trade involves transactions costs. Goods trade alone will not equalize factor prices, so there is an incentive for trade in factors of production. Whether goods or factors are traded depends on endowments and transactions costs. We characterize equilibria in
