Waveguide Photoactuators: Materials, Fabrication, and Applications
Waveguide photoactuators convert guided light into mechanical motion. Their tethered‐flexible design enables minimally invasive surgery and confined‐space robotics. This review aims to guide materials selection, device design, and system integration, accelerating the transition of waveguide photoactuators from laboratory prototypes to versatile ...

Numerical Modeling of Photothermal Self‐Excited Composite Oscillators
We present a numerical framework for simulating photothermal self‐excited oscillations. The driving mechanism is elucidated by highlighting the roles of inertia and overshoot, as well as the phase lag between the thermal moment and the oscillation angle, which together construct the feedback loop between the system state and the environmental stimulus.

Optimization of Magnetic Milli‐Spinner for Robotic Endovascular Intervention
This work presents the design optimization of a multifunctional magnetic milli‐spinner for high‐speed propulsion and efficient clot debulking. The optimized design achieves an ultrafast swimming velocity of 55 cm/s (≈175 body lengths/s) in saline water, enabling stable upstream swimming against strong physiological flows and establishing magnetic milli‐

Internet-Based Mental Health Interventions
Mental Health Services Research, 2005Following recent reviews of community- and practice-based mental health interventions, an assessment of Internet-based interventions is provided. Although relatively new, many Internet mental health interventions have reported early results that are promising. Both therapist-led as well as self-directed online therapies indicate significant alleviation

Internet-based physical activity interventions
Current Cardiovascular Risk Reports, 2008The association between sedentary behavior and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease is well known and validated. Unfortunately, most Americans remain completely sedentary or are irregularly active. Research indicates that theory-based behavioral interventions are efficacious for increasing physical activity, but many interventions require ...
