Dynamic Surface Adaptive Fuzzy Control of Three-Phase Active Power Filter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
The main objective of this paper is to design a dynamic surface adaptive fuzzy controller for a three-phase active power filter (APF). In order to deal with the nonlinearity of the APF, a fuzzy strategy combining an adaptive backstepping method is ...

The Internet of Things and The Web of Things

open access: yes, 2015
The Internet of Things is creating a new world, a quantifiable and measureable world, where people and businesses can manage their assets in better informed ways, and can make more timely and better informed decisions about what they want or need to do. This new con-nected world brings with it fundamental changes to society and to consumers.

The Internet of things [PDF]

open access: yes2013 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Networks (COMSNETS), 2013
When the Internet emerged more than two decades ago, it changed everything. But the Internet of Everything makes that pale in comparison. After two decades of networking and communication, 99% of things are still not networked. The Internet of Everything will disrupt several industries.

Soft and Strong: Elastic Conductors with Bio‐Inspired Self‐Protection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A general reverse‐engineering approach is demonstrated for designing functional yarns that uses woven fabric architecture as a structural framework. The fabric‐based stretchable conductive yarns combine flexibility, high elasticity, low stiffness, self‐protection, and weavability with conventional textile processes. By fine‐tuning the number of elastic

Neuromorphic Visual Receptive Field Hardware with Vertically Integrated Indium‐Gallium‐Zinc‐Oxide Optoelectronic Memristors over Silicon Neuron Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes neuromorphic visual receptive field hardware with vertically integrated amorphous In‐Ga‐Zn‐O optoelectronic memristors and Si neuron transistors for retina‐inspired visual processing. The visual receptive field array, comprising ON‐ and OFF‐type cells, facilitates edge detection, thereby enhancing perception in complex images, such ...
