Anaesthetic management of a horse with acute kidney injury
Summary Anaesthetic management of animals with acute kidney injuries (AKI) is complex and poses considerable risk. There are no publications describing management of anaesthetised horses with AKI. Perioperative and anaesthetic care of a Thoroughbred filly presented with traumatic injuries and subsequent AKI is described.

Comparison of computed tomographic, radiographic and anatomical dorsal hoof wall measurements
Summary Background No comparison of radiographic and computed tomographic (CT) dorsal hoof wall (DHW) thickness and DHW to the palmar length of the distal phalanx (DHWDP) ratio has been published. Radiographic measurements obtained with and without radiodense markers on the DHW have not been compared.

Hoffmann's two‐toed sloth I: Complete myology in the thoracic limb of Choloepus (Pilosa: Xenarthra)
Two‐toed sloths use their thoracic limbs for more frequent and prolonged suspensory support than three‐toed sloths and accordingly demonstrate myological traits consistent with stability of the pectoral girdle, enhanced flexor force/torque applied at the elbow joint, and grip on the support.
