Interracial Marriage Attitudes among High School Students

182 white and Negro high school students were surveyed with a forced-choice questionnaire to ascertain whether one group favored interracial marriage more than the other. Chi-square was applied to a 2 × 2 factorial design. Negroes were significantly more favorable toward interracial marriage than whites ( p < .001).
